Leading BSI Engineering's strategic direction, Dan brings over two decades of industrial engineering expertise to his role as President. His focus on employee development and client satisfaction continues our tradition of engineering excellence Dan holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kentucky and is a licensed professional in multiple states. He joined BSI in 2012, progressing from project engineer to Director of Projects, and became a Principal in 2016.  In 2022, he was elected President, succeeding the founding President, Phil Beirne.  Dan is dedicated to preserving BSI's strong culture and honoring its legacy.  Outside of work, he is active in his church, volunteering, and enjoys family time, travel, boating, and golf.while fostering innovation across all service areas.

Jake joined BSI in 2011 as a Mechanical Engineer.  He has served as a Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Engineering Department Manager, Director of Engineering, and now Vice President of Engineering.  He has 17 years of experience in consulting engineering, with a focus in Specialty Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Food and Beverage and Industrial projects.  Jake also hold PE licenses in 24 states.  He has a strong passion for leading our teams to provide high quality solutions for our clients.

Chris brings over 25 years of expertise in engineering consulting with a diverse background spanning mechanical engineering, project engineering, project management, and business development. He studied mechanical engineering at Cincinnati State and the University of Cincinnati and earned his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in 2011, since joining BSI in 2007, Chris has been a key contributor to the company’s growth and success, serving on its leadership team and board since 2015. Known for his customer-centric approach, Chris excels at identifying client needs and delivering tailored solutions that drive clients capital project success.

Chris joined BSI in 2019 as a Project Manager and has since excelled in various roles within the organization. With a proven history of leading high-performing teams, Chris brings a well-rounded perspective that enhances multiple facets of our operations. His leadership and expertise make him an indispensable member of the BSI team.

Stefanie has been with BSI since 2015, fostering a welcoming and positive environment that has shaped both her HR team and the broader company culture. As Chair of BSI’s Wellness Committee and a Certified Wellness Practitioner, she champions workplace wellbeing while mentoring her team and driving innovative HR initiatives. Passionate about continuous improvement, Stefanie stays at the forefront of her field as a SHRM Certified Professional and active participant in HR roundtables.

Ashley Smith is a financial professional with over 19 years of experience in accounting and financial management. With nearly 13 years at BSI and an MBA from Xavier University, she oversees all financial operations, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and strategic planning. Her expertise includes financial software systems and technology integration, enhancing efficient processes. Outside of work, Ashley enjoys art shows, traveling for concerts, volunteering with her family at an equine therapy center, and is an avid health enthusiast participating in competitive fitness programs, while seeking out the best dining experiences in the city.

Holding a Master of Architecture degree from Miami University, Matt brings a wealth of knowledge to his team. Matt has been in the industry for over 25 years, and has been with BSI since 2017, where he helped implement BSI’s Architecture department. Matt is personable and develops each of his team members, providing mentorship and training opportunities along the way. He has built an incredible team of talented individuals and is excited to add another member of his team.

Antonio earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architectural engineering (structural focus) from Penn State University, along with a minor in architecture, in 2008. With over 16 years of consulting experience, he has also shared his expertise by teaching strength of materials, steel design, and concrete design at the University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati State. A former president of the Structural Engineers Association of Ohio, Antonio is deeply passionate about education, continuous improvement, lean design, and drawing inspiration from Ted Lasso.

With over 30 years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kentucky, Matt has been a valued member of the BSI team since 2019. He has built a strong and dynamic Electrical team, prioritizing growth and professional development for each of its members. Matt’s dedication to fostering talent and teamwork continues to drive success and innovation at BSI.

Brandon, a Registered Architect and member of the AIA, holds a bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering Technology from the University of Cincinnati. With over 20 years of diverse industry experience, including seven years at BSI, he brings exceptional expertise and leadership to our Director team. Known for his mentorship, Brandon’s collaborative approach and broad skill set make him an invaluable asset to both our projects and team growth.

Mike holds an associate degree from Cincinnati State and a bachelor’s degree from Miami University in Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology. With over 12 years of engineering consulting experience spanning industries such as pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, specialty chemicals, and food and consumer products, Mike brings a wealth of expertise to every project. His 10 years as a maintenance technician and manager provide him with a hands-on understanding of the challenges faced during construction and operation, allowing him to lead with empathy, build strong client relationships, and deliver impactful results for both his team and clients.

With over 25 years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, Stacey has been a valued member of the BSI team since 2018. A natural leader, she manages the group with a focus on fostering a supportive and collaborative environment that empowers her team to grow professionally. Stacey’s leadership has shaped a fun-loving, talented, and sharp group, and we are thrilled to see her continue building a thriving team at BSI.

With over 25 years of experience, Paul brings unmatched expertise, energy, and positivity to our organization. A Miami University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Aeronautics—and an honorary master’s in Dad Jokes—he has a natural talent for mentorship, creating a program within his team that’s now the standard across all BSI departments. Paul’s leadership inspires collaboration and growth, making him a driving force in our success.

David holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston and a Master’s in Engineering Management from Northwestern University. Based in the Chicago office, he brings 17 years of engineering consultancy expertise and a decade of engineering management experience. His work focuses on the refining, petrochemical, and specialty chemical industries, where he delivers innovative and efficient solutions.

Alexa began her career in the construction industry and joined BSI in 2014, where she has become a highly valued team member by embracing new responsibilities and roles. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a PMP certification earned in 2019, she brings expertise and dedication to every project. Alexa’s commitment to excellence has been a key contributor to BSI’s success and growth.

Jacque brings over 30 years of manufacturing and engineering expertise in the chemical and refining industries, including extensive experience as a Capital Project Manager. Since joining BSI in 2019, she has been driven by a passion for process improvement and creative problem-solving. A dedicated leader and mentor, Jacque focuses on building strong relationships and inspiring teams to achieve impactful results.
